Although the practice has diversified from its purely farm animal roots in the 1940s, providing emergency care and preventative medicine for farm patients remains the core part of the practice. We cover all aspects of farming from dairy farms milking 500 Holsteins, 300 cow suckler herds and 3,500 head sheep flocks to small holdings with half a dozen ewes or even the occasional house cow!

All of our veterinary surgeons started their careers in predominantly farm practice and have a wealth of experience in all aspects of farm work. We actively maintain and up date our knowledge to keep abreast of the latest developments, and encourage further post-graduate qualifications. Within the practice there are RCVS (Royal College of veterinary Surgeons) Certificate holders the in subjects of Cattle Health and Production, Sheep Health and production and Bovine Reproduction.
While disease prevention has always been our aim it has never been more important, or effective, than it is now. No two farms are identical and we therefore believe that herd and flock health planning needs to be done on an individual basis, tailored to fit into the daily running of each unit. Our aim is to help to improve health, welfare and efficiency and hence improve viability and profitability of your farm.
